Jordan Reeves

Jordan spent 8 years in the field as a licensed HVAC technician working primarily in the Gulf Coast — Houston, New Orleans, and Mobile — before transitioning to full-time editorial coverage of the home-services industry in 2015. He has covered over 1,200 HVAC installations, repairs, and ductwork jobs as both a technician and a reporter.

Before joining National AC Solutions as Senior HVAC Editor in 2024, he was a contributing editor at Home Services Quarterly and a technical reviewer for the ACCA Manual J 8th Edition supplement. He maintains his EPA 608 Universal certification and attends NATE continuing education annually.

Jordan's coverage focuses on honest cost analysis, contractor vetting standards, and the growing heat-pump transition driven by the Inflation Reduction Act. He has testified before the Texas Public Utility Commission on residential energy efficiency.
